Know every payment deadline before it passes.

Under the Construction Act, a late payment notice or a missing pay less notice can decide what you are owed. Constructicore calculates the due date, notice deadlines and final date for every application from your contract terms and shows exactly how each was reached, then warns you about anything late, missing or short.

The payment cycle

Every date in the cycle, worked out and explained.

Each subcontract has its own payment terms: JCT, amended DOM terms, bespoke, or the Scheme for Construction Contracts where the contract falls short. Constructicore applies them to every cycle and shows exactly how each date was reached.

  • Bank holidays handled. Christmas Day, Good Friday and bank holidays are left out when counting periods of days, as the Construction Act requires.
  • How was this calculated? Every date carries its working: the rule, the inputs and any days excluded.
  • Terms change, history does not. Payment terms are versioned, so past cycles keep the dates that applied at the time.

Alerts

Told in time to act, not after the fact.

Constructicore checks every open payment cycle through the day and whenever a notice or payment is recorded, and alerts the people who handle applications, in the app and by email.

BeforeAction

Application due soon

A reminder while there is still time to get the application in, and a critical alert if the deadline passes with nothing submitted.

NoticesAction

No payment notice recorded

If the payment notice deadline passes with nothing recorded, you are prompted to consider your options, including preparing a payee's notice where the contract calls for one.

Pay lessCritical

Late or unexplained pay less notices

Pay less notices received after the deadline are flagged, and so are notices that give no basis or calculation for the sum stated.

PaymentCritical

Shortfall at the final date

If payment falls short of the notified sum by the final date, the shortfall is shown and the cycle is flagged for your suspension and adjudication options.

RetentionComing next

Retention due for release

Release dates at practical completion and the end of the defects period are scheduled automatically, so retention is not quietly forgotten.

VariationsComing next

Variations left unagreed

Instructed variations that have gone too long without an agreed value are surfaced before they become a final account argument.

Evidence of service

If it goes to adjudication, the evidence is already there.

Disputes often turn on what was sent, to whom and when. Constructicore keeps that record as you go, rather than leaving you to rebuild it from inboxes months later.

  • Every send recorded. Applications are emailed from Constructicore with the sent time, recipients and message ID stored, and every time your client opens the link. Sending from your own Microsoft 365 mailbox is coming soon.
  • Document fingerprints. Every attachment is hashed, so you can show the document received is the document you sent.
  • Portal submissions too. Submitted through a main contractor's portal? Record it with the portal reference.
  • One-click evidence bundle. Every application as submitted, every notice, the record of every email, payments and a dated chronology for a subcontract, in one download with a fingerprint for each file.

Constructicore is not legal advice. It records your contract terms, calculates dates from them and highlights deadlines and missing notices. Whether a notice is valid, or what your position is in a dispute, is a question for a construction solicitor or adjudication specialist.

Never find out about a missed deadline from the other side.
